It’s always Jimmy Fallon this and Jimmy Kimmel that.
And according to Zippia, a career guidance website, 63% of talk show hosts are male, which is why these men become more well-known than women for being on television.
However, there have been and still are many talk shows hosted by women on television that are entertaining and informative and deserve to become household names like James Corden or Stephen Colbert.
Without further ado, here is a list of five talk shows hosted by women that are currently on the air and deserve just as much attention as some guys named Jimmy. (There are many more out there, these are just a few that I watch and enjoy weekly!)

The Kelly Clarkson Show
Who doesn’t love Kelly Clarkson?
She is spunky, funny, outgoing, honest, and an extremely talented singer. I mean, screaming “Since U Been Gone” in the car is just euphoric. Her show is absolutely a representation of her with musical performances from different famous and up-and-coming artists and interviews with celebrities and everyday people. She also opens up about her own experiences and even has games to play with her guests. She once played a “Guess That Song” game with Blake Shelton, and it was extremely hilarious. The two of them together are very entertaining. Kelly has put a lot of effort into her show, and it pays off; she has won THREE Daytime Emmys in only three seasons.
Airs weekdays on various networks at various times. Find where you can watch it here.

The Drew Barrymore Show
Yes, THE Drew Barrymore- the one from “Charlie’s Angels” and “50 First Dates”- hosts this fantabulous show featuring entertainment and celebrity news, DIY crafts for the holidays and everyday life, the latest clothing and shopping trends, and even “Drew’s Kitchen,” which includes Drew’s favorite recipes and cooking tips. Sounds adorable right? It totally is. The show is in its second season and is definitely one to sit down and watch with a nice cup of coffee or tea in the morning as you get ready or even to relax after a long day of class. Also, this is definitely a show your mom would like too, so you should put her on it too. (My mom actually put me onto it.)
Airs weekdays at 10 a.m. on ABC and 5 p.m. on the CW

The Real
This is definitely the epitome of a girl-talk talk show.
Hosted by Garcelle Beauvais (from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Adrienne Houghton (from the Cheetah Girls!), comedian Loni Love, and Jeanni Mai, the show is in its eighth season. The women have won three Daytime Emmy awards for their talk about current news, politics, and celebrity gossip from a woman’s perspective. Throughout the show, the women also induce hot takes and share stories from their personal life that are not only entertaining, but people can also learn from their experiences as well. This is definitely the show I turn on when I want a good laugh, to think a little about topics I never really thought of before, and to catch up on popular things happening.
Airs weekdays at 1 p.m. on FOX

Today with Hoda & Jenna
Formerly hosted by Hoda Kobt and Kathie Lee Gifford, the show is now in its fourth season with Jenna Bush Hager, George W. Bush’s daughter.
This is more of the typical daytime talk show where the women share heartwarming stories, holiday and party tips and tricks, current pop culture news and other things going on in the country, and even interviews with celebrities. The two also discuss many different topics regarding parenting like “Should you let your kids go to sleepovers? and things happening in their own lives with segments like “Hoda Kotb catches up with Jenna Bush Hager post-vacation.” Very thrilling stuff, for sure, but the show, in general, is very informative while also being heartwarming and a nice show to watch with the family.
Airs weekdays at 10 a.m. on NBC.

Honorable mention: The Wendy Williams Show
Wendy has gotten into some hot water over the past couple of years for some controversial comments she has made about celebrities and politics on her daytime gossip show The Wendy Williams Show.
Now, my mom and I used to watch her back when she was more normal and less of a meme, but clips of her show will definitely brighten up your day because let’s face it, there are very funny videos of her show online. Today, her show is on its 14th season, and due to many health complications, Wendy has been forced to step back from her show to recover. Guest hosts for the show, since Wendy is still not back, have been hip-hop stars Remy Ma and Fat Joe, actress Sherri Shepherd from The View (another great women-hosted talk show), actress Leah Remini (love her!) from King of Queens, and more.
Airs on ABC Mon.-Fri. at 10 a.m.
So, if you one day become bored of scrolling through endless Tiktoks and Instagram posts, go check out these fabulous women out on your TV or whatever streaming app you use– or hey, most of them have Youtube channels where you can watch short clips too if you don’t have the time to watch a full episode!
