Favorite Song: The track Space to Grow really resonated with me, where it says, “I have a tendency to want everything right but all at once at the cost of cutting corners for the worse”. I am currently on a healing journey myself after getting out of a long-term relationship and this line reminded me of myself. Many times I have tackled a self-development task too hard in order to fix any issue as quickly as possible, but that’s not how that works. I’ve realized that it’ll take time to heal this wound, a process you can’t rush through to skip the worst of it.

With strong tones in his voice, Adam Paddock pulls you in deep with his newly released 5 track album, Sweet Ohio Light: Part 1. If you reside in the Buckeye State, you’ll truly resonate with his mixture of motivating, captivating, and devastating lyrics. I took the pleasure of enjoying this album while walking alongside the beach in Miami Beach and yet I could very vividly see myself driving down a windy dirt road back in Ohio. His love for Ohio is eloquently stated throughout this album, besides it being present in the album title. Adam merges his deep voice with powerfully played instruments in every single track. Space to Grow really showcases his passion for the art with lyrics that leave you wanting to belt it out loud, liberating all of those emotions we never knew needed to be released.
Adam has been a part of the music scene for a while now, making his first break back in 2020. Since then, he has worked endlessly in continuing forward for what he clearly has a passion for. He’s opened for numerous artists like; Judah & the Lion, Anna Vaus, and Post Sex Nachos, just to name a few. His hard work has been shown continuously, where in 2022 he had a sold-out headlining show! In 2023, with the show Columbus Against the World, he was fortunate to perform at the historic Newport Music Hall. Now with the release of Sweet Ohio Light: Part 1, I’m sure another successful headline show will be taking place all too soon.
You can find Adam on tour this spring, tickets and dates are available here.
