After more than ten years, Cirque du Soleil makes its triumphant return to the Twin Cities with BAZZAR. 

A vibrant celebration of the circus’ roots, BAZZAR showcases a fusion of acrobats, dancers, and musicians. BAZZAR crafts a mesmerizing spectacle, inviting audiences to experience wonder and magic first hand.

Upon entering the circus grounds, a lively welcome from stilt-walkers and unicyclists teased the enchantment awaiting under the Big Top. Maestro, our conductor for the evening, began by transforming the audience into a semi-harmonious choir with vocal warm ups. After each side of the audience had their chance to harmonize, Maestro’s troupe graced the stage and the story began to unfold.

My favorite act was the cyr wheel. In a dazzling display, the artist stepped into the center of a large metal ring. With a powerful push, she sent the wheel spinning, and the magic began. The wheel rotated in a purple haze and the performer intertwined with its motion, executing an incredible combination of spins and flexibility. With each movement, she harnessed the centrifugal force and maintained perfect balance and control. 

The artist inside the wheel, in addition to the vocals of the show singer Grande Âme, seamlessly wove contemporary grace and rhythm together. The warmth of live music enveloped the audience, weaving its melodies through the air with each act.

The gravity defying acrobatics dazzled the audience in acts that appeared effortless; the performers' agility and remarkable strength was showcased repeatedly while displaying breathtaking aerial maneuvers. The straps, a crowd favorite, began with an aerialist ascending high above the audience, suspended only by two long straps. With remarkable strength and grace, he twisted and contorted his body in remarkable shapes and poses. As the music swelled, he seamlessly transitioned from one stunning pose to the next. The audience is captivated by the beauty and athleticism on display, holding their breath as the aerialist executed daring drops and spins.

BAZZAR is an electrifying spectacle that is alluring from start to finish. The bouquet of breathtaking acrobatics, vibrant costumes, and captivating live music created a magical experience unlike any other. From unbelievable aerial stunts, to awe-inspiring strength, each performance left the viewers on the edge of their seats. This show is a must-see for all ages seeking an unforgettable evening of thrilling entertainment.
