This past Thursday, October 3rd, fans gathered at The Ford in Los Angeles for an exclusive live performance by Finneas, where they were among the first to experience tracks from his highly anticipated third studio album, For Cryin' Out Loud, ahead of its release the following day. Alongside performing several songs from the unreleased album, Finneas treated the audience to fan-favorite hits, creating an unforgettable night for those lucky enough to attend this early listening event.

The atmosphere was thoughtfully curated, reflecting Finneas's care for his fans. The outdoor setting added a relaxed feel that perfectly complemented the energy of the evening. When arriving, fans were welcomed to music playing throughout the venue and a photo op opportunity inspired by his new album. It was quite the personal touch and made the event even more immersive for fans. The overall atmosphere left the taste of anticipation and eagerness, as we waited for the show to start.

As the lights dimmed and the band made their way onstage, a wave of excitement washed over the crowd and the entire venue grew quiet in anticipation for Finneas’s entrance. He kicked off the show with his lead single, For Cryin’ Out Loud!, completely captivating the crowd with enticing melodies. Finneas followed with Cleats, another standout single. His new music was a mesmerizing blend of a touch of jazz and old-school rock, seamlessly infused with the modern pop edge he’s known for. I was in awe, witnessing the crowd so captivated by his magnetic stage presence.

Finneas also effortlessly kept the audience entertained between songs with his natural humor. If you follow him on social media, you know he has a great sense of humor, and that was just as true onstage. At one point, he joked about how he didn’t think he could fill the venue, saying he wasn’t sure he knew a thousand people. Though, he was surprised by how many familiar faces he managed to spot, even recognizing his own doctor and lawyer within the audience. With a grin, he said to the crowd, “We have a doctor and a lawyer, I feel well equipped for whatever you wanna do to me,” to which the audience erupted into laughter.

Throughout the night, Finneas spotted more of his family and friends in the crowd- his parents and longtime girlfriend were also there to support him. Although his sister, Billie Eilish, couldn’t attend due to her own tour, Finneas spoke about her in only the most loving terms. He even included Family Feud on the setlist, a track from his new album, which he dedicated to her. The song is a beautiful portrayal of their unbreakable bond, with lyrics like “part of me is part of you, just a different shade of blue,” capturing his immense love and pride for his little sister, making it one of the most heartfelt moments of the night.

Additionally, Finneas didn’t forget to include older fan favorites, much to the delight of the crowd. Songs like I Lost a Friend and Till Forever Falls Apart, had the audience singing along with him, filling the venue with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia and connection. Despite their familiarity, Finneas breathed new life into these tracks with fresh renditions. His performance featured new high notes, ad-libs, impressive vocal belting, and dynamic musical changes, delivering them with renewed fire and energy. His ability to create such sonic buildups that just left you on the edge of your seat is truly impressive.

This album release is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Finneas. After kicking things off in Los Angeles, he’s set to perform two more album release shows in London and Brooklyn. Following these shows, he’s touring across Australia, New Zealand, and Europe starting in January. As of this morning, Finneas has also just announced the US leg of his next tour. Finneas is gearing up for an incredible year, and this album marks the perfect launch for what’s to come. You can find all upcoming tour dates and ticket information at finneasofficial.com/tour.
