As NPR writes, “siblings Clyde and Gracie Lawrence are not your typical pair.” Clyde Lawrence and Gracie Lawrence have been writing songs and listening to countless Stevie Wonder, Randy Newman, and Aretha Franklin records in their family’s New York City apartment since they were little kids. After years of playing together, they officially created Lawrence, an eight-piece soul-pop band comprised of musician friends from childhood and college. The band has since gained a devoted following for its high-energy, keyboard-driven sound, which features tight, energetic horns and explosive lead vocals. In July 2021, Lawrence released their album, Hotel TV, and became the first band to release music under Beautiful Mind Records, the label of Grammy-winning producer/songwriter/artist Jon Bellion, who co-produced and co-wrote the songs on the album. The album’s lead single, “Don’t Lose Sight,” was featured in an international Microsoft commercial, which propelled it into the Top 20 on the USA Shazam Pop Charts, and also hit #33 on Top 40. In 2023, the band joined The Jonas Brothers on their four month, sixty-five show tour across North America. They have released singles "i'm confident that i'm insecure," "23" and "Guy I Used To Be" while working on their upcoming album. Fireworks & Rollerblades - Benson Boone

Benson Boone's intimate, diaristic pop songs are constantly evolving as he quickly becomes a global hitmaker. His latest single, the viral smash hit "Beautiful Things," quickly soared into the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 after topping charts across the globe. In 2023, MTV named Boone their Global PUSH Artist for October, while his PULSE EP generated tens of millions of streams. After headlining a sold-out tour across North America and Europe, he ended the year with the release of his moving single “To Love Someone.” The PULSE EP was preceded by his 2022 piano ballad “Before You” and the Walk Me Home… EP, which included his breakout single “GHOST TOWN” — Boone's first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and a Top 25 hit at both Top 40 and Hot AC radio. It also became his first RIAA-certified Gold record, followed by “In The Stars,” which is now certified Platinum. First discovered by Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds, Boone was quickly signed to Reynolds’ Night Street Records in partnership with Warner Records in 2021. He is reaching new heights in 2024, with over 2 billion career streams to date, an upcoming world tour, and a hotly anticipated debut album on the way.

Burnt Away - Liam Brock

IYL: Riley Furey, Tessas, Zach Beaver

Medina, Ohio! The first year of Liam’s career was focused primarily on streaming, which led to his breakout debut single ‘Beach Bum’ reaching over 25,000 streams, also securing radio play and an interview on Akron’s 88.1 WZIP. The surf-rock EP titled ‘Scorched’ followed suit months later, and his year was rounded out by releasing a two-pack of singles on his 20th birthday titled ‘Stalled/Trying To Feel It’. The second year of his career focused solely on making music and performing it live with his band. From his first show in Akron with 200+ attendees during April of 2023, all the way to becoming the last-minute headliner during his first-ever performance at one of Cleveland’s most historic venues (the Grog Shop), he has worked tirelessly to refine his live set. Now that 2024 is just on the horizon, Liam’s goal is to merge the two disciplines and continue to attack music with everything he has. He is coming off the back of a successful run with his first single in over a year titled Words which got coverage from Sheesh and Playdate Media, and he is returning with a new release every 2 months in 2024.

Lie Detector - Allison Ponthier

IYL: Trousdale, Frankie Lou, Charlie Adams

Born from the beautifully strange imagination of a wide-eyed misfit raised in the Dallas outskirts, Allison Ponthier’s songwriting hints at her country roots through her heart-on-sleeve storytelling and crystalline vocal work. Her lyrics whimsically portray the lucid confessions of a shy teen coming to terms with her queer sexuality in a Texas suburb much like the football-obsessed town of Friday Night Lights, further heightened to create a world inspired by the Camp warped eccentricities of Henry Selick, Vincent Price, and Elvira. Allison’s music and visuals follow her own self-reflection as she left the Bible Belt for Brooklyn in search of community despite not knowing anyone in New York—an initially disastrous move that ultimately inspired her own breakthrough on both a personal and artistic level. Overwhelmed, friendless, and struggling to keep up with rent, Allison began embracing the calamity of being a self-identified goody-two-shoes Texan living in the epicenter of brazen East Coast hipsterdom. Bringing such a depth of attention to every aspect of her music, Ponthier began building an extravagantly realized version of the world she retreated into as a kid back in Texas: a place where difference is endlessly celebrated.
