The Script returned to the U.S. for their first headlining tour in years, delivering an electrifying performance at Bogart's in Cincinnati on August 10, 2024. The band took the stage for the second night of their tour, treating fans to an unforgettable evening as they reconnected with their American audience.

As the lights dimmed and the band emerged, the excitement in Bogart's was undeniable. For many in the crowd, this was their first time seeing The Script live, and the anticipation was palpable. Frontman Danny O'Donoghue led the charge, with Glen Power on drums, Benjamin Sargent on bass, and newcomer Ben Weaver also on bass, creating a powerful presence as they launched into their set.

The Script delivered a high-energy show that resonated deeply with the Cincinnati crowd. From the first note, the band brought a contagious enthusiasm that filled the venue. The setlist featured fan favorites like "Hall of Fame," "Rain," and "Paint the Town," with the entire crowd singing along.

The band's stage setup was a refreshing departure from the norm, with drummer Glen Power taking a prominent position at the front right of the stage. This placement allowed Glen’s powerful drumming to take center stage, showcasing his passion and skill in a way that’s rarely seen in live performances. The energy was electric as the band fed off each other’s performances, creating a dynamic and immersive experience for everyone in the room. It was clear that every member of The Script was fully engaged, making the night truly unforgettable.

One of the most touching moments of the night was the dedication of "If You Could See Me Now" to their late guitarist, Mark Sheehan, who passed away in 2023. This tribute resonated deeply with the audience, bringing a wave of emotion that added depth to the evening’s performance.

Adding to the night was the opening act, The Wonderlands, a Cincinnati-native band with a deep connection to the local audience. Having recently moved to Nashville to pursue music full-time, The Wonderlands returned to their hometown to deliver a spirited performance. They mentioned how The Script had influenced their new album, adding a special connection between the two acts. The crowd's enthusiastic response showed just how much Cincinnati still means to them, and they reciprocated by meeting fans after their set.

The Script closed their set before the encore with "For the First Time," a perfect choice that had fans singing along and waving their phone flashlights, creating a truly magical atmosphere. It was a moment that captured the essence of the evening—connection, nostalgia, and the joy of live music.

The Script’s new album, Satellites, is now available on all major streaming platforms. Be sure to catch them on tour, both in the U.S. and internationally, over the next few months. For all tour dates and details, visit thescriptmusic.com.
